Sunday Worship Service 11 am

Wednesday Bible Study 5 pm

Casual Dress every 3rd Sunday

Our church prioritizes a relationship with God through song, worship and prayer. Members of the congregation participate most obviously through hymns and prayer. But we all participate in every aspect of the service, even when we are quiet and still. We worship as we stand or kneel; we worship as we hear the readings and sermon; we worship as we listen to the prayers that others lead and make them our own.

The mission of New Heaven CPCA is to enlighten and embrace believers and non-believers by applying and promoting Christ-like behaviors in making Jesus known throughout the world.

Meet Our Leadership

Church leadership roles and the responsibilities that come along with those roles are not for the faint-hearted. A church leader needs to be a Godly leader, a role model, and a guidance giver - not only for church members but for everyone else in the community too. They mentor and encourage others, furthering their faith and ensuring that they have a positive church experience.

According to Christian belief, saying "how lucky are we to know God" implies that having a relationship with God is not a matter of chance or luck, but rather an incredible privilege and blessing, as it grants access to a loving, powerful being who guides and cares for us, making every day a potential opportunity for good, not just a random fortunate event; therefore, the phrase emphasizes the immense value and grace associated with knowing God.

Christians generally avoid using "luck" in this context because it suggests chance, while faith emphasizes God's sovereignty and active involvement in our lives. The idea is that God has a plan for our lives and works all things together for good, even when we don't understand it. Knowing God is seen as a personal connection, not just a belief in a higher power, providing comfort, guidance, and purpose.

The Bible includes examples of God directing events, such as when He used a randomly shot arrow to lead Ahab into battle. Proverbs 16:33 says that while the lot is cast, the Lord determines the outcome. The Bible depicts God's control over events, both directly and indirectly. When we experience good fortune, they should thank God for his grace and love. When we experience hardship, we can ask God to teach us something through the trial.

With God, every day is your lucky day.
